Eliezer Joldan Memorial College


Established in 1994 as an Arts College, it began functioning from the DIET Building as a make shift arrangement. It shifted to the new campus in 1998 and later, in 2004, it was renamed as Eliezer Joldan Memorial College in honour of Mr. Eliezer Joldan, whose contribution in the field of education has been unparalleled. The college has a two storied Administrative Block, an Arts and Science Block with a recently completed Library and Commerce Block. The objective of establishing a college in this district was to provide higher education to students, at their doorsteps, who otherwise had to pursue the same in Jammu, Kashmir or in other parts of the country. The Government later introduced Science Stream in the college in 2005. In the same year, the college was listed by UGC under 2(f) and 12(B). Subsequently, Commerce stream in the year 2010. The enrollment of the college, during the session 2018-19,was 960 students.
